The Brief
What can be done with an old house? Can the cherished memories it holds be preserved while renewing the home for the next generation? The clients adored the locality and its setting, wishing to retain the home’s essential elements and memories. They envisioned a residence that captured the bushland views and connected seamlessly to an outdoor terrace, with an interior tailored to their specific tastes. This required a complete renovation of both the interior and exterior of the home.
The Result
The Rossmark design team embraced this challenge, transforming the run-down house through a remarkable renovation. This extensive project included a complete rebuild and structural upgrades to the lower level. The internal floor plan was thoughtfully reconfigured to maximise solar access, improve airflow, and highlight the stunning bushland views. The external façade was revitalised with new insulation, a condensation drainage cavity, and modern windows, all enhanced by select Colourbond cladding. Additionally, a covered entertaining terrace was built, seamlessly connecting to the main upper level living space and offering breathtaking views of the surrounding bushland. The entire interior of the home underwent a complete and comprehensive renovation, including the bathrooms, laundry, kitchen, and flooring, resulting in a personalised, fresh atmosphere that truly feels like a new home for the family.
