Project History
Oatley, St George $550K+The Brief
Create a home that would give Mum and dad privacy and the children space to dwell and grow into Adults within a fresh bright space.
The Result
The first floor addition was designed to accommodate a master bedroom, ensuite, walk-in robe and retreat. The ground floor walls where demolished and a new floor plan established which incorporated a small ground floor extension to facilitate the required bedroom sizes. The main bathroom, guest toilet and laundry where placed in a central position of the home. This achieved the privacy and acoustic separation for the 2 living spaces. The renovation also took into account the natural breeze and sunlight that was available making the kitchen and lounging spaces a pleasure to dwell within. The kitchen position is central to the forward family room while still being out of sight from the entry door with the use of a blade wall which is a perfect back drop for some wall mounted art. The exterior renovation saw a complete face lift while not being over the top with the first floor addition neatly tucked away barley visible from the street. Carefull planning over 12 months ensured a fantastic home was built within budget.
What the client said
We are delighted with the way our home now suits our family’s needs. As soon as we moved in, it instantly felt like “home”. We appreciate the attention to detail and effort put into the planning phase which ensured a great result. Several months down the track, there is nothing we would change about the renovation.
